5. CHECK ANY ACTIONS REQUIRED BY THE DECREE.Make sure you and your ex-spouse have completed all
required tasks set by the divorce decree. For example, if the judge required it, did you both get life insurance? Did you send copies to each other? Did you update your will, if you were required? Etc.
6. GET EMOTIONAL HELP IF NEEDED.
There are steps to the
grieving process that comes along with the end of a relationship. Be kind to yourself as you move through them. If you’re post divorce and are still having emotional issues, consult a therapist. This could be a sign of depression and should be discussed with an expert, who can help you through counseling or referral to a medical professional. Click here to read more about

7. IF LEGAL ISSUES ARISE, TRY TO FIND AN AMICABLE SOLUTION FIRST.The more you rely on an attorney, the more costly it can become for you and for your ex-spouse. If there are children involved, this also can be difficult for them, as they see the contentious behavior of their parents. However, if your efforts to find an
amicable solution do not work, call your attorney and pursue the legal issues in a court.
8. GET ON FINANCIAL TRACK.If you haven't already figured it out, you're now responsible for your own financial well being. Regardless of gender,
make a financial assessment of your debt today and your savings and
where you want to be in five, 10 or 25 years and then make plans to get it done a little at a time. Click here to read more about getting your financial
life in order after the divorce...
