My View: Spending the Night after Divorce

MINTY FRESH
You get up in the morning and before going in for that “last night was amazing” kiss, you want to make sure your breath doesn’t smell like a dead squirrel who smoked a Camel Ultra Light with her second glass of Shiraz. Next time you go to the drug store grab a couple of the mini bottles of mouthwash and a travel toothbrush and a tiny toothpaste. It’s very common to carry these with you and it’s way better than either using his toothbrush (that can skeeve out some guys) or going ‘au natural’.  

PLUCK-ING GOOD
So you shave every single visible hair off your body the night of your date. The next morning there’s suddenly a black hair in an embarrassing place. You’re so grateful you threw your tweezers in your ‘Just-in-case’. LOOKING FABULOUS
If you’re a contact lens wearer please don’t be vain and sleep in your lenses. Nothing’s worse than waking up with eye crust. Bring a small container of saline solution, a contact lens case and take them out before you crash. Don’t forget your glasses! Most guys will love seeing you as the ‘naughty librarian’ over a morning latte.  

MOM WAS RIGHT
Throw an extra thong in your bag ‘just in case”. This is not because a car (like ‘Mom’ said) might hit you. It’s so you’re more comfortable and hygienic in the morning. There’s nothing worse than putting on last night’s panties. Just make sure you don’t leave your old ones under his covers.


OTHER IDEAS TO PACK, ‘JUST-IN-CASE’:

• Ponytail holders for that next day easy up-do.
• Moisturizer to clean up ‘night before’ make up smudges.
• Q-tips for…everything.
• Flip-Flops, (weather permitting) so you don’t have to walk home in your stilettos.
• Tinted lip-gloss like ’Kiehl’s Lip Balm #1’ in Cranberry ( Kiehls.com ) hint: you can put a dab on your cheeks to give them the “I look like this all the time” look.
• A clean T-shirt
