Are you re-posting old blogs? I noticed the comments are from last year. Was there something new you were trying to get advice on or is this old news?

The active duty time before marriage and maybe even the time since you tried to file and were told no, will not count towards her monies...The Guard time, will lower her further, except for Title 32, I think you were Title 32 for some of it weren't you? The M-day time will definitely lower it....Yes, go after the dollar amount...No COLA for her that way...I am not at a base either so it can sometimes be difficult to get access to some of the services available to us....Be glad to vent back and forth and to offer suggestions...Hang in there, Sir...NCO's Lead the Way...lol...Sorry, had to throw a little military humor in there...

RPAM is a Retirement Points Statement or a NGB 23. Your M-day Guard time will factor in only after you hit twenty years active...I suggest if you have a retirement counseling service center on post, you go talk to them but I have had the retirement counselor course and can provide some assistance for you. I would strongly encourage you push for a dollar amount and not a percentage, even if it seems like you are giving her more upfront now...That way she doesn't get your COA's...Plus your Guard time won't be like full years worth...It is actually worth the money to spend to make sure you get this right...If you can get a retirements point statement, I will be happy to go over this with you and the formula to show you how I did it....Once we can figure a ballpark of what to offer, then you should spend the money to have it drawn up or see if JAG will draw it up for you....Are you due to be PCS'd anytime soon? Out of Texas I mean...
