Hey Charm I have a lot to say about that question. First of all you do not need a man in your life to be happy. You do not even need to be in a relationship to be happy. I did not get married (first marriage) until I was 38. After 2 mts of marriage I got pregnant and i had my first child at 39. I waited a long time because my parents had an awful marriage, and I was scared of the whole institution of marriage. I am now 50, for my 50th birthday I took myself tp Italy for two weeks, I went with a girl friend, and we had a lot of looks, like at 50 I think I still look pretty good. My marriage is difficult at times, can be like a roller coaster. My husband and I both have hot fuses and we are both stubborn (more him then me, certainly). I have been married for 12 years now but it was after our last big fight and then the cold distance which is what we go through after a big one (fight) that I found this web site. If I should ever decide to leave him I would not be the crazy cat lady, I would travel all over the world with other old farts like me. As long as your alive there is always room for happiness single or married..........I hope you found this helpful.......Janae
