Hey Charm I have a lot to say about that question. First of all you do not need a man in your life to be happy. You do not even need to be in a relationship to be happy. I did not get married (first marriage) until I was 38. After 2 mts of marriage I got pregnant and i had my first child at 39. I waited a long time because my parents had an awful marriage, and I was scared of the whole institution of marriage. I am now 50, for my 50th birthday I took myself tp Italy for two weeks, I went with a girl friend, and we had a lot of looks, like at 50 I think I still look pretty good. My marriage is difficult at times, can be like a roller coaster. My husband and I both have hot fuses and we are both stubborn (more him then me, certainly). I have been married for 12 years now but it was after our last big fight and then the cold distance which is what we go through after a big one (fight) that I found this web site. If I should ever decide to leave him I would not be the crazy cat lady, I would travel all over the world with other old farts like me.
