Yeah you're pitiful, but that's not a bad thing. Juliet was pitiful when she awoke from her coma and saw Romeo dead beside her--a pitiful person is one who pulls at the love we have for one another, drawing up compassion. You love your husband, and he left--you deserve pity. However, if by "pitiful," you mean "pathetic," then you are most certainly wrong--you are not pathetic. Pitiful, but not pathetic, which is beautiful.

Do whatever you have to . Beg. borrow or max out a credit card but get that atty. You should be entitled to half that refund. But you may lose it if you don't file soon. Are you seeing a counselor to help you get through this? It will help. I had a quiet Christmas. I ate with a friend and her family. It was nice. Keep in touch. I know how hard this is going to be for you.
