Hi, Bird. Thanks so much for your supportive words. It is very hard, but I know I will have to do it. The ultimate motivation will be when the kids both head for college in August, and I'm faced with living alone with her. I just can't do it. I'd be dead from the stress in no time. I envy you for being on the other side of this.

Thank you for such kind words. My living arrangements now, partly due to separation, but mostly because dad needs full-time care with onset of dementia so I had quit my job at his insistance to take care of him and his lady friend (I use the word lady loosely) both of whom are in their 80's and not good health. My 1st. divorce was due to my ex leaving me for another, cheating, mental and emotional abuse. I am not divorced this 2nd time yet, but it's what he wants, so just a matter of time. I would love to have a place of my own and come and go as needed here! I just moved back here about 10 months ago from Michigan, much of my family is scattered, but I have a daughter and a brother here and that helps, and of course my dad. I still very much love my stbxh, but he has changed after 6 years together, he says he's no longer in-love ; ( Him being in MI. and me in CA. has helped I think, I dunno. He's a truck driver so I was used to not being around him more than a few days a week. I think I have accepted, and I know I forgive him, so now it's just finding a way to deal with what's here and now, no job, no future, and no home of my own. At 57 that is not a good place to be, ha! Anyway, you sound like a very strong woman, and you have your home and your dog, that's good. I love the coastal area too, I am in the valley between L.A. and Fresno, hot, dry, and smoggy! YUCK! Take care and I hope you feel much better... Karen
