I'm sorry it's taken so long to get back. I haven't been on this sight for a few weeks. I'm doing okay. My mother in law passed away this past may in "our" home. So, there are no more in-laws. But now technically he owns 3/4 of the house- but he is willing to split 1/2 if I am not trying to take him for all he's worth. I have to wait and see what my lawyer says is fair for alimony. I'm a bit worried because alimony is taxable income and I don't know how long I would get it for. I don't know if taking more of the house is better or not. It's a huge 4/5 bedroom house. Massive for one person. But then again- perhaps investment? That's where I'm at. *I* filed for divorce last week. I suppose I could have waited, but I guess I am tired of living in limbo while life goes on around me with him and my kids.
