I can relate 100%... some feelings are inevitable and need to be felt... but some things you need to just accept, or at least realize you dont have any control over, and being relieved of that pressure alone makes a big difference. Not a cure to this thorn we call divorce, but a sort of relief. I have become a strong believer that everything happens for a reason... and as mad as I have been, because what has been thrown at me HURTS and feels soo wrong, I try to believe, like you said, because I (and you!) were destined for something more.Maybe one day we will be able to thank them for letting us go to find absolute happiness. I thought I was truly happy - in fact, I was... but I see now I settled for a lot, I accepted a lot that I didnt especially like just for the sake of BEING with someone that I loved so much. And I dont want to do that again. Wish we were closer for a "we are gonna thrive from this!" celebration! lol

Wow, I just read "had the talk with the kids last night." That took a lot of strength and love to hold yourself together with such eloquence for your children. May I use your words? For some reason these words really touched me.
