DO NOT under any circumstance, try to process or deal with anything related to divorce/custody if you are in a highly charged emotional state. It can end up being detrimental to your case. Seek psychological care, or support from family and/or friends to bring yourself to a more practical state of mind. Do not try to handle your own divorce if you have no idea what you are doing. At the very least, if finances are tight and you don't qualify for legal aid, retain the services of a paralegal.
