After 39 Years Of Marriage!

We knew each other since high school.  Several years after graduation, we started dating.

He had had one other affair years before when our children were small.  We seemed to have worked through it and our marriage seemed stronger then ever until my disability struck.

Same pattern as with his first affair.  He became verbally and emotionally abusive towards me.  Started coming home late from work with no explanation as to why he was late.  Would neglect me and spend no time with me.

When he first walked out I filed for a Legal Separation.  I'm Catholic and don't believe in divorce.  Then I stopped the Legal Separation in hopes that we would work through it again.  Then several weeks ago I received Legal Separation papers through regular mail from an attorney he has hired.  I nearly collasped!

My biggest fear is that I will live the rest of my life alone because of my disability.  I'm unable to drive and I have no help.
