Staying Healthy While Going Through a Divorce

Going through infidelity, and finding that my husband was lying to me really kicked me and my self esteem to the curb. I was so sad and lonely, wanting only to find the answers to many questions that he just refused to answer. I found myself weeping and crying at many odd hours of the day, sometimes not even able to keep my crying down to a minimum tear. During this period of time, I totally neglected my health, not even thinking about how it could affect my body. During times of sadness and trouble, we often forget to take care of ourselves. Although I took meds for high blood pressure, I found myself forgetting when I took my last dose. This could have become a dangerous situation for me, but luckily, I survived. We must learn to stop long enough to remember that our bodies really become weak when we are upset, thus allowing our antibodies to leave us unprotected and easier to get sick. Taking care of ourself and our health is so important. Please take enough time to find ways of relieving stress, while in the grieving process of infidelity, separation or divorce. After all, you don't want to become ill and unable to care about the things that you need to take care of.

I too lost an incredible amount of weight during and after my divorce.  I went form a size 14 to a childs size 12 in a little less than 6 months.  I'm 5'4" tall and now weigh around 100 lbs.  It has taken over a year to get back to a size 0  and I have no boobs to speak of anymore.  The more time that passes since my divorce the more my apetite returns.  I'm hoping to be in a size 3-5 by the end of the year.  (I have been divorced for a little over two years).  I still have to deal with my ex, as we have two children together.  Every time I speak or see him my self-esteem goes into the toilet for at least a couple days.  I wish you the best Kerri and I know how you feel.  Your apetite and desire to regain your health will return, eventually.  Good luck to you and I'll send some prayers your way.

Last year at this time I weighed a healthy 128 pounds and had size 36d boobs. I now weigh 110 pounds and have size 36b boobs. I looked like a skeleton. The weight came off so quickly I never had time to realize what I was doing to my body untill it was too late.None of my clothes fit me and I can not afford a new wardrobe. Eating is a chore for me but I try. My doctor told me to drink Ensure shakes so I at least get some nutrution.  It so important to take care of our bodies I am not sure I will ever get my body back.
My friends and family are horrified but being a single Mom has really taken a toll on me the stress is awful. Watch your weight being a size 2-4 is not healthy for a 5'7 woman.
