First Gay UK Celebs to Divorce
Matt Lucas, star of "Little Britain," and his partner, Kevin McGee, are the first gay UK celebrities to divorce after being married in a same-sex ceremony a year and a half ago.
With same-sex marriages trending here in the U.S., I'm sure all eyes will be on this divorce to see how it goes. I would image it wouldn't be any different from more traditional marriages, but you never know what kinds of issues will pop up.
Lucas has hired Mishcon de Reya, a lawyer who represented both Princess Diana and Heather Mills McCartney in their divorce proceedings, and it sounds like he'll need a good one. McGee, a television producer, could be entitled to a large amount of cash and assets from the split.
The couple dated for three years before tying the knot, and the reason for the breakup is unknown. They have no kids.
