He's Not Answering His Phone Calls

Father's Day came and went.  It was a very lovely day and we did some outdoor cooking and had time with family. We then decided to go and see our horse and spend some time at the barn.  Great day for a Father, really, but the only problem was, he never answered his phone.  Our daughter tried many times to call him to wish him a happy father's day, but he never picked up his phone.......even though she left him a message, he never returned her call.  I guess he has gone on with his new life now, not even worrying about his daughter.  I don't know what he's thinking these days, but it sure was sad to see that he couldn't even connect with her to let her know how he was doing.  How did your father's day go with your ex?

oh thank you so much!!  I have been there for our daughter for whatever she needs. She is going to be 15 soon and really, right now, she needs her father but he just can't see that. He has 3 other grown children (from another woman) that live far away that he never sees.  I thought that maybe he is repeating his same habits all over again and I don't know that he ever learned from his mistakes with them. I don't know anymore but it sure makes me sad.

This is very sad. The sad part is he will wake up one day and realize he missed out on the most important thing in his life. It will probably be too late.  I have read your journals and I think you are doing a fantastic job as a mother and she knows that.

I'm so sorry to hear this. I do hope you smothered her in as many kisses and hugs as she would allow....
