Counting my blessings

My life has been turned upside and I've been forced to ride this emotional roller coaster. Every day is a struggle and I've only been able to get by each day by focusing on the blessings instead of the tragedy that is my life. Every morning when I open my eyes, I take in whatever I have to face for the day and make a mental note to tell myself there has to be something I can be thankful for today. So here's my list of blessings and hopefully you can try and keep one for your own blessings. I
1. Most days, my kids are on the top of my list, I happen to have 2 teenagers so you can imagine how quickly being thankful can turn to asking God, "Why Me?".
2.Then , I'm thankful for my health. So far, I've stayed healthy despite the stress.
3.There's also my family and friends, who have been so supportive.
4. I'm thankful for my job because it has served as an outlet (when I'm working with patients, i don't have the time to think about me or him for that matter).
5. I'm blessed with a car that takes me back and forth.
6.My apartment with this awesome fireplace that I can just vegge out in front of.
7. The movies, again, it's good to not be real even if it's only for two hours.
8. Melatonin, without it my insomnia would definitely be in control.
9.Comfort foods, because chocolate and ice cream can make you forget about a man anytime.
10. Divorce 360.com is a great blessing to me every day as it allows me to realize that I don't corner the market on suffering.

What about your blessings?

It's exactly the way I make it through everyday, I think about all the things I do have and not what I'm losing in this divorce.  It's really hard to be depressed when you do that and I can usually come up with a pretty hefty list:  my kids, their health, my healthy body, ability to walk/see, friends, family, church friends, God, peaceful walks, beautiful sunsets, flowers, birds, my cat, our freedom in this country, our nice townhome, money for our needs, a running vehicle, a gift someone dropped off for me today (it's my birthday), etc, etc...

I could go on but won't.  :-)

My blessings? Seeing the fruits of my labor on a daily basis. The wonderful property I am able to call home. The fantastic sunrises and sunsets I see from my home every day. The wonderful friends I have made for the first time ever. Knowing that god will not give me more than I can handle. My children. I couldn't make the day without the wonderful animals in my life. They patiently listen to me and calm my fears about the future. I am truly blessed.

My blessings?  Too many to count.  I'm living in a house that I'm not sure how I manage pay mortgage every month--but I do. I have a dog who makes sure I stay sane, and I have a life that although isn't perfect, it's my life and I enjoy living it.  That's just the tip of the list-berg.
