Are You Going to see Sex and The City this Friday?
There’s nothing like co-hosting a Sex and the City party to inspire some I’d better get-well-soon stamina.
I was just about to invite those of you who live in the San Francisco Bay Area to come out and see Sex and the City>the movie with me — but our event is sold out already!
No matter, will you be going out to see the movie this weekend in your city?
As a single mom, do you relate to Sex and the City ? (I admit to finding some of those shoe-shopping, let’s-go-drink scenes trying it times. But I suppose that’s why some of us love the show: the fantasy escape.)
San Francisco Sex and the City co-host Wendy Merrill, author of Falling into Manholes , said recently in the San Francisco Chronicle :
"The show made it OK to be single. I think that each character - Carrie, Miranda, Samantha and Charlotte - captured an aspect of every woman, and the ‘Who are you more like?’ game was a fun game to play. I certainly related to the series and good girl/bad girl aspect of the character archetypes. Because in the end, I think there is a little bit of each of them in all of us. I also think it made Manolo Blahnik, Jimmy Choo and podiatrists rich!"
And if you got tickets for June 9th, we look forward to seeing you there! (We’re giving away very cool goodie bags and door prizes, including signed copies of our books, Babeland vibrators, wine). Carrie-Cosmos, anyone?
We’ll be greeting you at the door:
