ex didn't show for daughters ballet recital
he knew about it. i had told him the time, date, location many, many, many times.
the night before her show (which was going to be an entire weekend event with dress rehearsals and two shows), he said to her on the phone...."guess what i'm doing this weekend...i'm going to a big party, what are you doing?"
she didn't say anything...just handed the phone to me.
when i asked him how he could go to a 'big party' and not come to his daughters first ballet show (and then brag about some party), he said 'look, i have told you and told you and i'll tell you again....gas is too expensive, i can't drive there for just anything.'
i didn't say anything....just hung up the phone.
