Moving Somewhere

I really feel like I’m moving somewhere.

In truth, I know exactly where I’m moving. I don’t know if I told you this before, but do you know precisely WHERE I’m going to be setting up camp? Honestly, it’s quite funny (and I swear something like this could only happen to me). I’M GOING TO BE LIVING IN A ONE BEDROOM APARTMENT ON THE SAME BLOCK AS THE CHURCH I WAS MARRIED IN!

And get a load of this: the balcony overlooks the church!

For the record, Steve-O, my soon-to-be-ex-brother-in-law, and his so-called screenwriter friends think this is a “great touch” for “The New Bachelor: The Movie.” Me, I don’t care about any kind of stinking movie. Seriously. You know what the truth is? I’m sick of being “The New Bachelor”! There’s a life BEYOND being married guy or separated guy or divorced guy… AND I’M GOING TO FIND IT.

P.S. Thank God my friend Lisa is a graphic designer. Not only does she have a stellar eye (I’ve seen her portfolio) but she’s downright silly over the notion of helping me coordinate the look of what she calls my “bachelor pad.” She thinks this is all very exciting. So do I!

I understand what you mean about being tired of being pigeon-holed.  I come from a small town, and I dread going home now because everywhere I go, people keep asking me, "Where's "A"?,  Why isn't "A" with you"?  Oh, I don't know, try calling "M", she'll know where he is.  It happens every time I go home.  We've been gossip fodder for 7 months and the divorce was in the paper twice for gosh sakes.  I would take out an ad in the newspaper but obviously people don't read it.  Maybe I should have a shirt made, "I'm Divorced - Don't Ask Me Where "A" Is".  I'm trying to come up with a humorous come-back but I'm not that creative I guess!  I'm not excited about moving on just yet, but I am moving on.  OMG, I couldn't imagine having to look at the church I was married in day after day.  You must have a fantastic sense of humor!
