HA HA HA.. Heard from my soon to be ex today. His sweet young thing dumped him!   You are so right about what goes around comes around.
He wants to reconsile, but it is too late. I told him that he would be sorry and now he truely is sorry.

WOW!  No wonder he wanted to walk you to your car!  I can only imagine how hard it is to say and mean "too late". 

I too was in a constant state of whatifitis.  It is hard when you want your family back - but know you cannot be with that person.  I keep reminding myself the type of life I would have - the constant worry, checking up on him, doubting him, and I am not cut out to be Jane Bond.  Just not the right girl for that.

I am impressed and inspired by your strength!  So very happy for you.
I agree it is bittersweet.  Please let us know how you are doing!

It is a bitter sweet victory. I truely loved him. I still care for him a great deal, but not enough to take him back. after all the Hell he put me through in the last few months.

"...too late..." - Good for you...

Thoughts of reconciliation drove me into a constant state of "what if's"; and, when I finally did let go of those possibilities, a new breath of life started in me that has continued to grow with so many opportunities and possibilities...

Now and the future are too bright to consider the pass anything but that...
