I guess I'm not ready for dating

I get panicked every time I make a woman's acquaintance and then I don't hear from her for awhile. I have learned to do it silently but it still goes on in my head. Probably should wait till the day that I am quite comfortable in my single status, okay it seems like single status since I've been a year by myself, before tackling dating. Like I've said, first a movie and then no expectations. :-)

Thanks Linny!  I'm glad you like!  :)

Jack, I left a reply on your "sequel" post about this. So I won't take up too much page space here. There's a cyber-tree shortage donchaknow.  I think it's great that you're getting out.  You may get a good friend out of this.  I would warn you to be watchful.  You don't want to get in the middle of a live in boyfriend issue. So just like the bike analogy:  Go out. Have fun. Wear your shin guards.  I'd have said something about helmet and knee pads but that just sounded like equipment for another kind of date.

So what movie are you watching, Jack?

Ironically enough. I wrote that post and then went to work and when a women I worked with said she would be all alone this weekend, I heard myself saying "You want to go to a movie". Imagine my surprise when she immediately said "yes". It's not as great as it sounds as she has a live-in boyfriend who will be gone for the weekend. But, I'm not going into it with any other expectation other than a night out.
