Just wondering why...

Today is not so good for me.  Maybe I have too much time to think today.  I try to keep busy and not ponder on the past, but sometimes it just creeps in.

Do you wonder why so many relationships (marriages) start out so full of hope, liveliness and love only to end in heartache and sorrow.  What went wrong?  What were the signs; why did we not see or pay attention to them before it was too late?  Do we ever really know another person?  Do they ever really know us?

Don't listen to me today, I think I just need a hug.

Starr,
I know how you are feeling. I could use a hug too.
I'm glad you took the time to express how you are feeling. I wish I knew the answers to your questions. It is such a dynamic situation between two people. It is hard work to make a relationship flourish. When one or both people stop wanting to work on the relationship it withers away. I think when two people honestly love and care about each other they do know each other and they put in the hard work to make the relationship strong.
Listen to me! Like I know how relationships work!
I wish you didn't feel sorrow today but I'm very glad you expressed yourself in the journal. I hope writing it helped and I hope all the kind people here helped you feel better.
I'll always be here to give you a hug when you need it. After all I need one too!

Linny and Robert,

Thank you for the responses.  I'll take all the hugs I can get.  Hugs to both of you also.

The Min Pins did get some ice cream, so they are happy!

Oh Forgive me Linny, Where are my manners, I have a hug here for you too!  It had a little pocket lint on it, but I washed it up and pressed it.  It's as good as new and all encompassing.
