My day started like this...

I was leaving my neighborhood this AM for the commute in to work.  We have a light at the entrance.  As I approached in my car, it turned to yellow.

I slowed my car to a stop. The lady behind me (75+, im in South Florida) banged on the horn and had a few choice words for me thru her windshield.  (I'm no lipreader, but I know these words!)

Now, normally, I would be annoyed, but I started to think "If I'm 75, retired, living in South Fla - what's the hurry?" I mean, really.... Isn't retirement about smelling the roses? not shaking your fist at the poor working slob in front of you who slows down at a very busy intersection.

I'm not a stalker, but I happened to notice her car a few lights later - she was turning. So where was she going? My "cussing-like-a-sailor" neighbor?

Church!

Oh this is a good story! I also live in Florida, central area. I have had the same thing happen to me. I cant figure out their rush. In a big hurry to get to their Ma-jong game??? Have lived here for 3 years and I'm still trying to get use to the driving.

Maybe she was running late for the breakfast buffet at Denny's.

Yes - I must admit, I love Florida 99% of the time.  But there is that 1%......

Oh, I love this story!  And it is soooo typical of South Florida!  I lived there for 20+ years and I am happily settled in Central Florida now - and it is a different world. Slower traffic, cooler evenings, kinder people.  Glad you don't give in to the virulent road rage that pervades S.Fl.
