He's leaving, I don't know what to do!

Well, today we told my 6 year old son that my husband has decided to move out.  I could hardly talk and hold back the emotions!  It absolutely broke my heart to know that my 6 year old has so much confusion, while my husband acts like it is no big deal.  What a selfish person he is!  He says he is going to live with a co-worker that lives across town from us.  His co-worker is a single male that just recently moved to our town.  I'm sure that is not going to be a very stable enviroment for a 6 year old and a 1 year old!  I am on such an emotional roller coaster that I can barely put one foot in front of the other!  I have asked my husband if this means we are seperating, getting a divorce or what and he some how can't seem to answer that.  I suppose the fear of the unknown is what's playing with my head so badly.  What do I do next? I am so lost in this whole process. I do have an appointment with an attorney coming up but it's a week away.

Do you have a friend of family member who could either stay with you. or you and the children with them for a days, help care for the children, give you some time to get your thoughts together??

It is not just your husbands decision where your marriage goes from here, it is also yours.  You are right, fear of the unknown is very frightening.  Your life is out of your control, you must start taking some back. Although you may not feel or even want to be strong at this time, you must try, your future may depend on it.  Your husband has already started making plans (whatever they are), you need to also.

Try to look at reality (even thought it hurts), he won't go to counseling, he is moving in with a single co-worker, he has been having an affair.  Divorce is a very real possibility.

My thoughts and prayers are with you.
