In
this busy world, it's difficult to find time to fit the small things in. That's
why India's courts will now allow video conferencing for couple who can't make
it into court.
In
the first case of it's kind, Vijay Viswanathan will be divorcing his wife. He lives in New Jersey. She lives in New
Delhi, where the case was filed. This will allow the couple to divorce without
traveling long distances.
Video
conferencing will couples who find it too painful to be in the same room as
their partner. It will also take away the "too busy" excuse from
people who habitually postpone court dates.

Conferenced divorce is not likely something we'll see in the US, because we're
already able to submit uncontested divorces without entering a courtroom.
Although, for cultures that mandate an
appearance, this may lighten the court traffic and ease the travel burden for
couples.
