So, Bob found this site and read everything.

So, Bob found this site and read everything.  He came home yesterday at lunch and wanted to "discuss" what he read.to make a long story short, he is now at his parents house.
I told Logan that daddy wasn't going to be coming home that night and might not be there for his birthday.  (which is today)  Logan, our now 6 year old, was very okay with everything.. and was glad not to be scared any more.  I let him call Bob and he told his dad that he is afraid of him.  Which really shocked me.. Logan usually doesn't tell his dad what he is feeling.I am feeling  more relief than saddness.. is this normal?

Yeah, eggshells suck. It sounds like you have a good head about this, Nichola. Have a wonderful Christmas.I'll pray for your peace and safety.

For now taking it slowly.. letting God show me the way.. Bob is contacting a therapist.. (But I will wait and see.. only time will tell if he follows through) Right now, just trying to get through the holidays.. peacefully with everyone.. and trying not to tell too many people until after christmas.. (I don't want my marriage to be everyone's focus) Last night was nice, just Logan and I.. how it used to be before I married Bob. No walking on eggshells, being able to laugh and have fun.. etc. Only time will tell

It's hard to say, your situation isn't the everyday. I do understand why you feel relief, over sadness. It's a release from the stress. Don't be surprised if you do feel more sadness as time passes. It could be a bit of a rollercoaster. That is normal. Just take it slow, and it should be fine. I know it was a tough thing to do. So what's the next step for you?
