First Date!

I had my first date last night since Sept. 07.  I was so nervous I wanted to throw up and the wine coolers didn't seem to be helping.  I met him on-line, but not through Match.com!  I threw caution to the wind and invited him to come to my home.  It was a wonderful evening.  We talked for 6 hours and for the first time I didn't have to carry the conversation.  He talks, he has opinions, he has stories, he's funny!  And Pipi (resident guard cat), who is a very independent soul, approved.

We had a lot of things in common and enough seperate interests to give us a lot to talk about.  My biggest passion is music; listening to not making!  I find out he plays the guitar, sings, and writes and composes music!  I'm drooling.  AND, he loves NFL football.  Now how lucky can a girl get!  So we turned on the TV and watched the end of the Steelers game together.

It's getting close to 12:30am and I haven't slept a wink since 5am Sunday morning I had been so anxious about this date.  So now the end of the evening is coming to a close and I'm wondering if he's going to kiss me and how I'm going to feel about it.  Keep in mind, the only man I have ever kissed was my husband.  My daughter was shocked to hear that!  LOL!

We're at the front door, my heart is pounding so hard he must be able to hear it.  And then it happens.  A wonderfully sweet and lingering kiss.  I went in for more!   I didn't jump him like bootycall (love ya girlfriend!), but he wasn't leaving that easy.  He had been a gentleman throughout the evening and I just wanted to turn up the heat a little and he offered no resistance.

I told him I enjoyed our evening together, he said the same and told me he would email as soon as he got home.  His email was asking for a return engagement!!!  Hot damn!

Okay now Cathy, take a breath, go slow.  Otherwise he would be back again tonight!  So I proposed Friday night.  I'm always sitting at home Friday night - NOT THIS FRIDAY!  Whoppie!

Hey Rob, the cougar has a younger man in her claws!
