I was in such a weird mood when I wrote these posts.  Sometimes I feel like dating is a big black hole and if I fall in I'll never get out.  I haven't seriously dated since I was 19.  Dating sites are just plain scary.  Each profile is the same.  For once I'd like to see an honest profile.

It is really hard not to talk about your ex on a date after a divorce.  It's amazing how everything seems to bring up memories and it is embarrassing.   The first time I got fixed up with someone I felt really strange. It was almost like everything felt surreal.  He was really looking for someone to get married to and the person who fixed us up had made me sound like I was the perfect person for him.  Yet, here I was so not ready for even dating yet.  You can only imagine how weird the date was!  We had talked on the phone for 2 hours but in person, we were so awkward.  I've decided to just hold off for awhile since for some reason my divorce still makes me very sad after 3 years. Of course I was married to the same person for half my lifetime so I guess I should realize it will take a few more years.  So, for those who try to fix their friends up, be very cautious!! I felt terrible for a few days afterwards.  It really hurt.
