He's a tiger now!

HA!!!  HAHAHAHAHA!!

So, another glass of red wine and a smidgen of down time last night when 2 kids were in bed and I was waiting for my husband to drop our oldest off after he picked her up from dance... relaxing and nice.

So he comes to the door WITH her and asks to come in.. cause I am in a good place I was fine with it and decided it was a good chance to discuss what our plans for the holidays were going to be anyhow...

He got a glass of wine too and we sat down with a list to discuss and coordinate the christmas details... and one thing led to another and we had the most amazing  and enlightening discussion about our marriage and our problems... AND his growing realization that our problems are mostly rooted in his issues... not that I was without fault but that HIS issues were the most damaging to a normal relationship.

and at one point he was saying how he didnt LIKE where he was right now... and to my glee, I got to use my, Sorry Roger, you a tiger now!!! line.... ahhhh... that was so terrific. it wont make sense if you havent read my previous journal entries.. but he knew what I meant right away... I welcomed him to the club and told him to enjoy his stripes...

and of course for him this visit was primarily an attempt at a booty call... SORRY!!! Call Ms. Rosey Palm to help with that problem.

anyhow.. the end result was we were up to 1:30 talking and hashing out some stored up crap and it was very nice to dump some of that baggage... and he confirmed that he banged that chick he swore he didnt touch.. I knew that too...

but he also said he would go to my counseling appointment to meet the counselor today, we will see if that actually happens..

I feel very good this morning.. in control of whats going on with me and my kids and holding a smidgen of hope that my dumb ass husband will get his butt in order and be at the very least a better father.. and hopefully one day, maybe a better husband.. maybe for me or maybe for is next wife..

It does feel good when they realize what they've done.
