Rearranging the Furniture

Uggh, I have the flu. It started after I decided to move around all the furniture to "reclaim my space". Maybe it unleashed some bad mojo from the ex-boyfriend or maybe it was my ex coming for a visit with our daughter, but I have not been out of bed since Sunday night. I need to get myself up and in the shower to make a meeting in a few hours, but the thought of it is daunting. I have 10,000 e-mails I need to go through and am way behind on work.

My daughter isn't feeling great either, and I feel bad because I am too sick to take care of her. My hope is that by tonight when she is feeling worse, I will be feeling better.

In the meantime, I highly recommend moving the furniture around. It helps change the dynamic where everything is a trigger of some kind of memory. Especially the bedroom and the living room. That really has helped. I had a friend come and help with my bedroom, which was great, because I really couldn't see it any other way. When I can actually get out of bed, I am going to smudge the whole place with some sage and get rid of that bad mojo!

Thanks, bp. I did get up and made the first meeting, but bowed out for the second and am back under the covers. I am looking forward to the chicken soup!

"...get out of bed..." - Please do not answer this since you already have a very full day ahead of your self...!

Get better soon... I will be making you some chicken noodle soup for later so that you can recover your strength a.s.a.p. for your daughter. Oh, and if I trip along the way, it is okay to laugh a little about my mishap and know that I will clean that up, too...

Thanks! And yes, sage is better than a full on house fire in most cases. :)
