The
Korean National Statistic Office released it's figures for the first half of
2008. According to their data Marriages
are down, divorces are up, and it may be the Moon's fault.
Statistics
show that divorces rose 14 percent from last year, while marriages dropped 1.4
percent. Local experts believe it's
because of the lunar Calendar. 2006 was a double spring year. It's supposed to
be good luck to get married during a double spring Year.
Since
then some of the couples proved that chosing partners carefully is better than
all the lunar luck, and other couples have decided just to be careful before
getting married.
