The storm last night knocked my lights out for two hours. At one point I moved to the center of my house. I knew that was a stupid thing to do but I did it anyway. I live in a manufactured home (double wide trailer) and there is no where safe in one of those if there is a strong wind storm coming at you. I had two inches of rain. A lot of thunder, lightning and hail. When the lights went out I left and went into town. I had not had supper. With all the lights out you couldn't even tell there was a house on the property; it was that dark. The lights finally came back on about 9:30.
So I was out this morning surveying the damage from last night. There is another big limb on the ground. Thank goodness it didn't hit the well. There's a limb down in the pasture. Little Lucy's toy was blown 20 feet away. The slide came off but it popped back on. Little Tikes toys are strong. There are small limbs down all over the farm again. I have been out picking them up and putting them on the burn pile.
I was on the treadmill again this morning. That's going to work this time. I was on longer this morning. And I do feel better when I exercise. I have a tendency to overdo so I am going at this slower than I normally would.
I had lessons at 12 and 1. Lucy loved the new toy. Thank goodness the storm didn't destroy it. Lucy has been in Canada with her mother and had not seen her toy yet. She thought it was great. A big smile on her face from ear to ear. She loved the slide. I bought her a table off ebay and I am looking for a chair. My lesson on the lazy slug Zee was great. It only took a few pointers from C to get us straightened out. All Lucy's toys were moved by the roundpen so her mother could ride Joe. C took the castle with the slide and put the slide in the pool. Lucy loved sliding down into her pool. She thought it was great fun. Lucy can now say her own version of please. It started raining so C didn't get to ride Joe for long. I managed to keep the saddle from gettng too wet by taking it to the storage shed.
My boys are back in the pasture with their grazing muzzles on. Trying to eat grass. I still need to take trash to the dump and then I'm thru for the afternoon. It's been a very good morning.
