I feel so good when stbx is miserable

I love writing down my thoughts and today I started out blue but not really upset about anything special. I get over whelmed with the idea my stbx is has no responsibilities while I was left with everything. It never seemed fair. So today when my son says to me dad is miserable mom he wants to pack up and move to Florida. I all of a sudden started feeling better. I feel better when I know that he is not living this happy life after he made mine miserable for 23 years and left me picking up the pieces of his affair. Does anyone else have those days where you rejoice in the misery of the one who caused so much misery in your life. It is sad that happiness comes this way.

Sayme, you r surely not alone.  I could be in a deep depression one day and the minute I hear my STBX is miserable, I am exuberant!  Why do we feel like this?  I think it's because of the pain we have experienced and this news now becomes a comfort.  We want them to feel pain as well, but  they will never exhibit distress in our presence.  That's why you heard that info from an outside source.  Most of them are not happy with the decisions they've made, but their egos will not allow them to admit it.  So in turn they put up a "front".
