According
to the ABA Journal, the Mississippi Supreme Court has awarded Ernest Cook $1.4 million dollars. The suit is
against Ronald Pierce, a lawyer, for emotional duress.
Previously,
Cook and his wife hired Pierce for a malpractice suit. During the case, Peirce started an affair
with Cook's wife. She later divorced Cook and married Pierce.
According
to the ABA, they spoke with Cook about the case. Cooked said, "I knew I was going to get
screwed.” Truer words were never
spoken.
