You are WHERE?

So something REALLY weird happened on Friday and I have to share it here (of course LOL). I was in bed at about 10:30 just about to fall asleep when I get a text from stbx. He asks how the kids are. I tell him they are fast asleep. He then asks me where they are..... I tell him in their beds of course.... he asks if they are at my place.... umm.. yes, where else would they be? THIS isn't even the weird part! So now he's kind of worrying me. I instantly am up and thinking something MUST be wrong. He's not one to ask such things. It was a little strange. I thought maybe someone was hurt or dead. He stops responding and I get kind of worked up over it.

The phone rings... I answer it (although you all know I've stopped doing that). Under the circumstances I was concerned and curious. The conversation goes a little like this:

Me: Hello?

Him: Hi

Me: What the hell is going on?

Him: I had an erie feeling..

Me: Well everything is fine.

Him: Is your apartment dark?

Me: Umm.. yes, it is night time ya know.

Him: I just want to make sure my angels are safe.

Me: Look stbx, all the doors are locked, I just checked on them 25 minutes ago and turned the light on when I did so. Trust me they are fine.

Him: Maybe I'll just stop in for a minute.

Me: Actually, no, you won't. I was sleeping, the kids are sleeping and there is no reason for you to stop by at all.

Him: Well then flash your lights so I know everything is ok.

Me: WHAT??? Where the fuck are you? Why can you see my apartment?

Him: I'm accross the parking lot. I stopped for coffee.

Me: This is NOT ok, this is VERY stalkerish. You can not do this again.

Him: Just flash the lights

(I now go and flash the damned lights)

Me: Happy?

Him: Yes, I feel much better. You sure you don't want me to stop in?

Me: Umm. yes, I'm absolutely positive.

Him: Ok, I'll see you tomorrow then (he was picking up kids). Have a good night.

WEIRD MUCH??? When he came the next day I made it VERY clear that this behavior was NOT ok and I would not tolerate it. He acted like he had no idea what I was talking about. As if what he did was perfectly normal.... Am I the only one who would think this is a little nutty? I checked all doors and windows after that call and sat on the couch, between the front door and my little ones, for hours.....
