One Of The Only Times I Miss The Ex Is......

When I have car problems.  Yeah, you heard it.  Flat tires.  Time for an oil change.  Transmission isn't working right.  Especially when it's a cheap part and simple fix.

The shop labor charges are four times the cost of the part and I know if the Gear Head Ex were still around it would be fixed in a flash for CHEAP. Instead I have to shop around from auto place to auto place looking for an honest mechanic who won't take try to charge me for a new transmission when all I need is a shifter cable. A CABLE not the whole transmission.

You would thing that the days of women wearing a bulls eye on their forhead as an easy mark for quick money for mechanics would be long gone, but it's not.  Three auto shops wanted $1200, $300, and $250.  The one honest mechanic I found charged $100 for the part and the labor.  Too bad I spent anothe $15.00 driving around town getting estimates.
