first counseling session 

My first counseling session is today wish me luck. I hope I can find some answers and stop putting all the blame on me . I also want to stop being a door mat. I have issues.

You will be fine. And it will work. falcon81 is right. If for some reason you are not comfortable with this one find another.
Yes, I was/am a doormat too. My therapist has helped with that. Good luck and take care
