Some divorce thoughts on Independence Day

Hope everyone is enjoying their Independence Day celebrations.  I am childless this weekend. My kids are with their dad & my boyfriend's kids are with their mom. So, it's just us.  The house seems so empty without our kids. I feel so lucky to have all of them in my life. I hope that all of you just starting this process know and believe that there is hope.  You will move on from this terrible experience. It may not happen in the time frame you want it to be but trust me, it happens.  If someone would have told me this when I first went through my divorce, I would have laughed and cried and not believe them. Time does heal all wounds.  Be patient, have faith, and most of all believe in yourself. You can do this.

I hope you are enjoying your day and be safe.

what an awesome empowering message!  Thanks...and I stand behind everything you said.  I am only 2 1/2 months out from my divorce being final and I agree completely with all that you have said.  In the beginning you think the light is out, but as time goes by and begins to heal wounds and you move forward things do get better...and you will be happy (probably more happy than you have ever been too)!  Happy 4th everyone!

Safe?  C'mon SuYin!  Why do you have to take all the fun out of the holiday?  ;)

I hope your 4th is wonderful too!
