OK people help me out here...

I have apparently killed yet another laptop - one succumed to a virus, now this backup one I had types different letters than what I press, if they type at all - I don't always have the time to watch what I post and I notice a boo boo right after I click send (isn't that always the case)

sooo...long story short, I'm going to get a new one...

any reviews, insight, opinions advice on the latest and greatest yet affordable would be appreciated.

games won't be played on it, it's more a work computer but it would have to have a large emough memory cache to deal with scanned files/pictures..

so what brands do you love and which do you hate?

My brother in law is a computer geek( and I say that proudly , not in fun)He stands behind the apple...I have Dells and they give me little problems.
Get avg antivirus. That is what I run on all of my office computers. It is about 15 bucks a year. I have been using it for almost 4 with no problems. They offer a free version but I got zapped with some viruses with that so buy a version. you can go to their website and download it from there.
