How do you get your mind off divorce?

I go swimming in a lake.   I'm lucky enough to have a lake near me and the feeling of being in the water, under the hot sun, is always wonderful.  No matter how bad I feel I can leave my troubles on the shore.  No one can reach me in the middle of the lake--no cell phones--no computers--no annoying ex husbands.  Just my doggie Shadow who likes to run up and down the shore and follow me when I swim.  He's too little to swim along, and he doesn't like the water anyway.  He does bark up a storm though.  When I get out of the water I eat my sandwich and read something fluffy and just escape from everything.

Swimming sounds like a great way to get it all out of your head.  I'm too scared of what pollutants might be in the lake near my place to go for a swim.  I do go kayaking down a near by river, less relaxing more of a adrenaline rush though.  Sports and exercise give me that reprieve I need.  I just wish there was a clean lake near by, because that sounds like the ticket to relaxation.  Mind if I jump in with ya??? :)

When I divorced him he would constantly call me so in the beggining it was tough to get my mind off all our memeries. But what I did was focused in on other things that were higher than my ex and put my whole mind it to other things than him. I also decided we did have a good run together but we just weren't ment for eachother. I guess it's all apart of letting go of someone you once loved.
