Can I Go to school full time with kids?

I am trying to figure out if I should make my Fall schedule full time or stay part time.  I know my husband is paying child support and maintenance but should I ask for more maitenance until I get out of school or should I try to go to school, work part-time, with the kids?  I don't know what to do.  My attorney said he may need to pay more initially but after I am out of school, it will go down.  My earning potential is not as good as it will be after I get out of nursing school.

Hi Elane!

I would love to go full time and get through it.  I just didn't know what attorneys think about that.  Can a divorced mom of two really go to school full time and not work?  My plan is to work the three 12 hour shifts after graduating.  I honestly think my husband could afford to help me until I'm out but he might get a huge attitude.  I guess we will see.

Hi Nanster! If you can do it, I would try and go full time, because you'll be done sooner.  That would be the fastest.  What does the husband think/say, or does it matter?

If your divorce is final than I don't think you can change that. But if you are still in the process, in my opinion, you need to get whatever you can now so that you can get through school faster in order to be self supportive.
