And on top of it we have 3 sweet kids--- and that means child support on my half, but right now i'm on unemployment and only getting $700 a month and trying to find a job but its been very hard because of the economic crisis.... Seek counseling and rehabilitation, and do not make any decisions until you are clean and sober.  This will also make it easier for you to get a job.  Once you're sober, if you find that you want to make things right with your family, definitely seek marriage counseling together and perhaps family counseling.  Don't give up on your marriage because you are feeling unworthy.  You are worthy and once you come to realize that your future will begin to look brighter and will begin to take on a new dynamic.  Good luck to you and your family.  Stay strong and find a good support person or sponsor (AA, NA, or the appropriate group).

Your right the first step would be to clean yourself up, but what are you saying about your wife's relationship are they with you and that is what hurts?? I know from experience that drinking to much can cause alot of problems in the family and financially too. Does your wife want to work things out? Are you willing to do what it takes to make it work? I sounds like you have a lot of things to work through. Don't give up the kids are worth it. They need a strong father they can count on to be there for them.       Good Luck
