Hi Cag,
I read your story and no one deserves to be treated that way. The abuse gets worse any one here will tell you that. My husband didn't push me down any stairs or pull my hair so violently! but we have gotten physical and I admit I pushed first or slapped him first. He would answer back. He was never told you don't hit girls in fact his father beat all of them all the time. I'm surprised  he isn't worse. But he has his temper. These men need professional help! They will not change until they admit they have a problem and truly apologize and get therapy. Until he does that don't go back or take him back that problem will continue if he hasn't done anything to change it.
