Real Child Abuse

My husband slept with my daughter for five years. I didn't see it until she finally told me. Is it any worse than this?

Ditto Vicki- get her away from the situation asap. Get it documented.
And for you, don't feel bad. Sometimes there is guilt when a parent is in the situation you are in. You trust that it won't happen and believe that they couldn't do it to their own child.
What you MUST do now is protect her from any more of it. Help her thru it. You can't change what happen nor blame yourself. Just do what you can for her now.

is he out of the house?  if not, getyour daughter and leave right now.  call the police and a therapist and contact the abuse help line for more information.  your daughter needs counseling asap and he needs to be arrested.  can you leave and go to family or friends?
