Women--anyone dating in your 50s, 60s

I want to hear from women who are actually out there dating at my age.  I'm having a lot of trouble dealing with fear of rejection, and actual rejection.  I feel that older men want younger women, no matter what they say.  I've had my share of rejection on internet dates, guys who look at me and I can see the wheels turning in their heads--gee, she doesn't look like what I hoped.  All those wrinkles.   She is OLD.   Or at least I think that's what they're thinking.  And they probably are.

Dating at this age is pretty hellish because everyone's looking for "chemistry" which means instant attraction.  That means women as well as men, and I've been guilty of judging men on the basis of first impressions as well.   Dating at this age based on looks is brutal, or maybe it's just me.  My confidence level is dragging on the ground.   Not too many people are willing to get to know you , to get past the superficial first impressions.

Any women out there who are dating later in life?  What's your experience been like?  How do you deal with rejection?  Give me some tips.
