Question

Posted to group - Goal - Will Lose Weight - Really    <<Previous    Next>>

so far, so good

ok....so i haven't cheated yet today.  had a apple and carrot juice this am.....(oh, and coffee too.....with milk and sugar..which is bad, but it's day one!).

for lunch had another shake of banana and soy milk with some maple syrup.  sounds not so great, but actually really good....(if you add tons of ice).

and i snacked on some all natural (so the box says) multi grain crackers and a little bit of....dare i say it......peanut butter....but wait!  i bought the organic kind, so i think it's ok.

how are you guys doing today?

"mff mff mmmfflm mmfm.'  That's "yes, yes, you're right!" with a mouth full of banana bread.   ;)

ok. i just went out to dinner.  took my parents and my kids out to duffys.....cuz it's wednesday/kids eat free day.   i had a crab cake and felt really, really guilty the entire time.  so i think the guilt counts.  i was aware.  awareness is the first step right?  first become aware of the bad food choices, then stop making them, then move on to making good food choices.  so therefore, i have made tremendous progress.  right?   i think this is the same process in divorce.  make mistake. become aware.  make better choice next time???  we shall see.

I think unfettered anger is the biggest calorie burner.  ;)

well, i really just want to join to do the spinning classes. i've done a few before (during the divorce).  they turn off the lights and put on a disco ball.  the teacher screams into a mic, things like 'ok, go go go go'.   nobody can stop for a second to look at you...nobody can hear you if you talk.  so i used it as a anger management.  i would scream mean things about my ex.  worked wonders.

Yeah, I cheat. I've got weights at home.  Oh and that #*$%n' Billy Blanks video whenever I feel too good about myself...

Gyms can be good, but you have to find a good one that's not too crowded. Some are such meat markets. I remember I used to go to one where most of the women were wearing make up to work out. The guys were bad too, but no make up, just lots of flexing for "Flex" sake and lots of cologne to cover sweat.  It got in the way of those of us who were really trying to work out.

There are good ones though, and I think a gym can be a great environment, especially if you have a friend join with you so that you can push each other, and the prices seem to be reasonable right now.

Let me know how that turns out!
