Wedding Rings

In North Carolina are the wife's engagement and wedding rings considered her personal property? Does she have to spilit the money if she sells them?

don't take this the wrong way - but it takes a real SOB to take adivorce argument all the way down to the rings on your respective fingers.

the ring is hers to do with what she chooses and you have no right to any of the monies if she sells it - it was a gift -

there is argument as to the ring if the marriage doesn't happen, as it can be considered a "contractual" issue - if the marriage contract wasn't fulfilled then the ring ownership can be called into question, but she went through with the marriage - so that fulfilled the "contract" so ergo - the ring is hers.
