Is this the Down Side to Equal Rights?

The work place is shifting.  More women are reaching positions reserved for men while househusbands become more and more common. This new paradigm creates a shift in the divorce court as well. Men are now asking for money from their wives.

One UK law firm states that the number of husbands seeking wives' assets has jumped threefold over the past year. Fiona Wood, a partner in a Manchester firm, says, "Many women assume that, on divorce, they will get money from their husbands regardless of their respective circumstances. They believe that men asking for payments are sponging."

The courts are slow to respond as well.  Many cases appear to be lopsided in the wives' favor.  They'll need to start looking at the fact soon.  One in five women makes more than her husband.  Househusbands shifting out into the workforce without some form of ramp up could create a glut in minimum wage earners trying to better themselves.
