An Iraqi man and his two wives were moved from Iraq when Danish troops pulled out. The feared for their lives and were seeking asylum in another country. Denmark brought the man on as an interpreter, and granted him and his wives Danish citizenship.
Now the Danish Prime Minister is require that the three divorce. "In my opinion, bigamy is not acceptable and is against the law" in Denmark," he said last month. If the family wishes to stay in Denmark, they'll need to divorce.
After much discussion, the family is looking to see if England will allow them to move there. If that doesn't work, they'll fight the decree in Danish court. The two wives have agreed that if that doesn't work, they'd rather return to Iraq, where their lives are in danger, than divorce.
