We're all familiar with the statistcs about how divorce destroys everything from children to the environment like a cigar smoking Godzilla. How about some good news? According to the equity guru Jon Moulton, divorce is good for business.
Jon recommends hiring managers and CEO's with one divorce over those who have never been divorced. "A CEO with one divorce is a better manager than one who has not been divorced. It is a statistically significant difference," Says Moulton.
Moulton also warns that more divorce doesn't mean more success. He describes two as "dire," and for those with three divorces he'd experienced "100 per cent loss of capital." It could be something to do with learning from your mistakes.
So, brush off your old resume, and don't forget to put the divorce down under management skills. It should attract job offers like cat nip.
