Divorce in Wisconsin, what to expect...

Help! One of my best friends is going through a divorce. I do not feel she is getting the representation she is paying for. I understand that in our state, Wisconsin, the "no fault" divorce is the avenue taken but this poor women must have something more that would work on her side. Right now it seems as if everything is going in the soon to be exs' favor. He has been commited from the start to get out of this marriage free and clear of any financial obligations and because of her feeling of intimadation of him he is pretty much getting everything his way. Does anyone know how the divorce court system in WI really works.  Just for the record this poor women was gone on a weekend camping trip with their two girls and her parents when he notified her that he had moved out, reason, he needed to lose 40 pounds and wanted to resume/work on his rock guitar playing and felt he couldn't do this living at home and being married.  This cries desertion in my mind but I guess that doesn't carry any weight these days in divorce cases.  In the meantime she seems to be getting no guidance from the attorney she retained.  Of course hubby retained the most feared divorce lawyer in the area, another reason she is intimadated, but at this point in time she cannot even make informed decisions because she hasn't a clue as too the amount of debt he had incurred while they were married (he took care of all the bills and made some horrendous charges.)  Shouldn't the lawyer she retained know these things by now and passed them on to her.  The papers will be ready for signing by the 29th of this month.  It just seems right from the get go her husbands attorney has been calling the shots and her attorneys have not done much of anything to guide her through all this, any help will be appreciated.  thank you for listening to her concerned friend.

if she isn't happy with her legal counsel - tell her to take all the copies of documentation she has from her current proceeding and pay for an hour or so of another attorney's time to get a second opinion.

She doesn't have to sign final divorce papers if she doesn't agree to the terms.
