Can I get the alimony I deserve?

Foolishly, I agreed to receiving $250 a month in alimony instead of the $750 that was recommended by my attorney. That was 4 years ago. Is there anything I can do to recoup those funds?

Alimony is not like child support. Unless it is stated that it can be changed in your agreement there is nothing you can do.

it isn't the court's responsibility to fix your mistake - you made the agreement - they are there to enforce it - not make it more equitable for you down the line when you realized it was not the smartest choice.
